Clifford Tong is the Founder and Principal Consultant for DSI. He has been an active angel investor for more than 20 years and is a member of Berkeley Angel Network and Insync Angels.

Mr. Tong has over 30 years of consulting experience with organizations in both the public and private sectors in the areas of strategic planning, business process re-engineering, marketing, management, and information technology. He has acted as a founder, co-founder, or Angel investor on numerous startup companies, and his broad understanding of business strategy, operations, and technology are the cornerstone of DSI’s mission and philosophy. He is a co-founder of Internet startups Ethnicmajority.com, LafayetteCentral.com and BurtonValley.com.

In addition to his consulting expertise, Mr. Tong is an acknowledged authority on small business issues. He has served on numerous boards and commissions, including the State of California Small Business Council, Caltrans Business Council, California Department of General Services Advisory Panel, Small Business California, and California Small Business Association, and has frequently been called to testify before the state legislature on issues that affect the business climate. He was also elected as a delegate and committee chair for the 1995 White House Conference on Small Business.

Prior to founding DSI in 1990, Mr. Tong worked for IBM for seven years in a variety of marketing and technical positions, and was primarily responsible for the design and marketing of large mainframe systems to IBM’s biggest customers on the West Coast. He holds B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.

Nancy Lee

Nancy Lee is Executive Vice President, Director of Financial Services. With a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Ms. Lee has over 30 years of experience in providing accounting system design and maintenance, office administration, financial reporting, cashflow analysis, resource management, benefits administration, and specialized training to small and mid-size companies in the engineering, high tech, community service, environmental education, local government, and other industries. Nancy is an expert in Quick Books and presents customized training sessions for her clients.
